Celebrate International Women’s Day with Martha & Eve
MARTHA & EVE
These inimitable Mediterranean Madams started out as the awarding winning comedy/music act ‘donna & kebab‘ in the late 80’s. From 1995 they focused their concentration on their music and songwriting partnership. Their body of work includes some 70 songs, 3 albums, a ‘Live at the Hackney Empire DVD’ , a ‘Club single’ and numerous special projects and European tours.
On stage, whether in large concert halls, outdoor festivals or intimate club settings, their personalities are irresistably honest, raw, energetic and humerous and their gigs always have an emphasis on communicating with the audience. Their music and lyrics mostly come from personal experiences, so its easy to see who they are.
“These Meditterranean Madams combine talent, charm and the friendliest charisma with spine tingling vocals, steely edged guitars, stunning songs, impeccable harmonies and infectious humour” The Observer
“exhilarating rhythms, stunning songs, breathtaking, spine-tingling vocals”
The Guardian.
